The Implantation Argument: Simulation Theory is Proof that God Exists

چکیده
Abstract I introduce the implantation argument, a new argument for existence of God. Spatiotemporal extensions believed to exist outside mind, composing an external physical reality, cannot be composed either atomlessness (infinite divisibility, atomless gunk), or Democritean atoms (extended simples), and therefore inner experience reality containing spatiotemporal mind does not represent (inner external, mind-independent, reality), is mere cinematic-like mindscreen (a simulation), implanted into by creator-God. It will shown that only creator-God can implanting creator simulation (the other theories, such as Bostrom’s famous account, do involve creator, reification fallacy.

متن کاملWhy Believe That There Is a God?
This article presents an argument for the existence of God, showing that the evident phenomena are best explained by supposing that a God causes them. The argument is based on the inductive force of four very evident general phenomena: that there is a physical Universe; that it is governed by very simple natural laws; that those laws are such as to lead to the existence of human bodies; and tha...
متن کاملProof That Chronic Lyme Disease Exists
The evidence continues to mount that Chronic Lyme Disease (CLD) exists and must be addressed by the medical community if solutions are to be found. Four National Institutes of Health (NIH) trials validated the existence and severity of CLD. Despite the evidence, there are physicians who continue to deny the existence and severity of CLD, which can hinder efforts to find a solution. Recognizing ...
متن کاملOn the argument that enhancement is "cheating".
One frequently used argument in the discussion on human enhancement is that enhancement is a form of cheating. This argument is well-known in relation to doping in sports, but recently it has also been used with regard to cognitive enhancement in the context of education and exams. This paper analyses the enhancement-is-cheating argument by comparing sports and education, and by evaluating how ...
متن کامل1 A Simple Proof that Optimality Theory is Computationally Intractable
Adapting arguments from Eisner (1997, 2000), this remark provides a simple proof that the generation problem for Optimality Theory (OT, Prince and Smolensky 2004) is NP-hard. The proof needs only the binary evaluation of constraints and uses only constraints generally employed in the OT literature. In contrast, rule-based derivational systems are easily computable, belonging to the class of pol...
